About the Principal (Anwar Al-Kalai)

Assalamu Alaykum

Dear Parents, Staff, Students, and community members

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I introduce myself to you as the new Principal at Al-Rasheed Academy. My name is Anwar Al-Kalai, I am truly honored to be entrusted with this new responsibility and ask Allah(SWT) to grant me the ability and success in fulfilling this very important Amana. As you may already know, I have been a part of the Al-Rasheed Academy family from the beginning, and I am the founding president of Al-Rasheed Academy. I have also been serving as the Executive Director since 2015. I’m very dedicated to the success of Al-Rasheed Academy and am looking forward to a brighter and even more successful future!

Professionally, I have over 20 years of experience in Management and Business Administration. I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Industrial Technology. I also received certificates in leadership development, team building as well as Instructional Coaching.  Along with working in the field of Management and Leadership Development, I have held the position of school principal at a weekend school for three years in addition to my involvement in developing a full-time tutoring program for homeschooled students.

One of the areas that I will continue to focus on at Al-Rasheed Academy is to build a stronger relationship with the students, staff, families, and community. My passion has always been to focus on our children because they are the future. I strongly believe that if we give them a strong foundation in the Islamic Education, as well as the secular education we will help them build a better future for themselves, their families, and their community.

I look forward to continuing to work closely with every one of you to ensure the success and safety of our students.
